My Singaporean Experience

People traveling to the Singapore for the first time will be taken back by how strict the law is in that country. In many countries in Asia walking anywhere is just a normal thing. In Singapore one can walk only in the areas where it is allowed. Walk anywhere else and you can be booked for jaywalking. On my first visit to the Singapore from the US, I went for an evening on the street near where I was staying and was stopped by the police and asked not to walk in the area. He warned me next time he would give me a ticket. I was surprised by the event.
