I took a bus ride with my friends to Newport mall from my place on Friday to buy a new watch for my husband’s birthday. I got down the bus and realized I forgot my purse on the bus. My trip to Universal Studio was filled with fun. Walking around the whole place was an adventure in it self. The different shows were so wonderful that you wondered at times if you will be safe trying out the different rides. In my enthusiasm and with my daughter prodding me on I tried many rides and came out all ruffled. The ride that took my breath away was the one that I was forced into. My daughter called me a scary cat for not going with her on the Jurassic park ride. To prove her wrong I went along with her but she has a photo graph to prove how right she was.

Traveling alone in Tokyo alone can be pretty difficult if you do not know the language. There everything thing is written in Japanese from signboards to the destination written on the metro trains. In spite of the fact I was traveling with my cousin in Tokyo I will never forget that I was left outside at the platform with my cousin in the train and the automatic door shut on me. She was frantically gesticulating to get on the next train as hers left the platform. The few minutes, that I was standing alone at the platform with no address and a language I don’t understand, was the scariest time of my life.

To get my daughters years pierced was becoming a subject of a major debate. I wanted to get my daughter’s ears pierced when she was about two. At such a tender age the child does not feel the pain of getting the ears pierced. It would be just like the prick of a pin. But who would explain that to my husband who was dead against it. He just couldn’t bear to see his daughter in pain. I joined force with my mother in law and mother. We finally cowed down my husband who had no other option but to agree to the force of us three ladies.

I have a very cozy life with an eight hour work day at the end of which I’m pretty eager to get back home to relax and stretch out in front of the TV.
